@ChainLinkGod this one to keep you in the loop.
I would like to see wiki on forum. @cagince Do you think it’s a good idea to start with
and move some important info to forum under
or
?
Nice, @cagince thanks
I’ve messaged @andre.cronje to create a board for us at https://github.com/iearn-finance/ygov-finance/projects and sorted @ChainLinkGod’s comments into a few categories: Content / FrontEnd / Hygiene
That gives us…
=> Content
• iearn Parent domain: iearn products and services are reached via distinct URLs/websites. Users may require a single point-of-entry to navigate iearn products and services. Parent indexes assets for yearn, ygov, staking, yswap, ytrade, yliquidate, ypool etc and navigation to resources curve, 1inch, forum, docs, twitter, medium, FAQ, YFI explainer, etc
• Parent to have method to submit new assets and resources
• Product information: Linked pools should have content to explain liquidity and farming concepts
• Yearn governance details should be added to the Parent domain, stating security of admin key is a 6-of-9 multisig and moving to DAO in the future
=> FrontEnd
• https://ygov.finance/vote Proposal summary: Provide summary information of each proposal, together with links to the proposal body
• https://ygov.finance/vote Balance validation: Validate the Users wallet balance and display eligibility to vote on each proposal. If balance is below criteria, disable the vote options for that proposal
• Authentication: When User has attached wallet in a session, store the token to prevent recurring wallet prompts
• Balance updating: Enable https://ygov.finance to display transaction outcomes (deposit, withdraw, claim etc)
=> Hygiene
• Redirect https://iearn.finance and https://docs.iearn.finance to yearn equivalents
• Link https://docs.yearn.finance to twitter and medium blog
• CMS on the Parent domain, so child links can be managed?
Thanks for your wise comments re: investing into the community. I’d be very happy to join you all
@milkyklim thank you for the issue creations
and yes I definitely think the forum should be the place where we do the initial discussions under the topics.
However in the end I think we should update the content in docs.yearn.finance and move some of the topics discussed there as a summary where new comers can just read through.
good example from sxnthetix community https://synthetix.community/docs/intro <- intro, faq, explainers …etc.
@cf62 also thank you for the summary hopefully we can get a community board
To clarify, do you want to move wiki to docs.yearn.finance or do want to keep it on forum?
Wow this should be pinned in the discord / and telegram.
https://yearn.finance has been deployed to IPFS: Create An IPFS Website For Yearn.Finance
What are the other sites that should be deployed?
It should not be too hard to create an overlay site that references all the others once they are deployed.
Shall interested people start a special interest group to keep website improvement discussions moving forward?
Sure. Apologies I’ve been busy with other work/life obligations. Ready and willing however to begin identifying a task list that we can prioritise. What shall the format be?
Yes, definitely… I’ve also been busy with the work lately but I’ll have a clear schedule starting from the next week. I’d be happy to jump in wherever I can
What’s the current status of this? Would love to help with the design element if possible. We need to get our front-end to the same caliber of our back-end.
Hi, my name is Craig Moss and I’m a front-end dev, I would also like to contribute to this somehow, if I can?
Although most of my working experience is with vue.js at this stage, I have worked with react.js a little
@Webmoss @iTo @cagince @cf62 @ChainLinkGod @cnumber @yfi_lit
I created a special interest category in the main discord. Please join us there to continue these discussions. Thanks.
Hey Fam,
Our design lab is currently working on a home page concept for yearn finance. Goal is simplicity, and to showcase what the company is about and the components which make up the Y ecosystem. We will keep it data driven, but combine some waifu anime as like a dark mode option, so people get the simplicity, but can turn on the waifus if they want.
On the actual domain we have the Y.Finance domain which we can use for this home page, I think owning Y is key as all our products begin with Y. For example Justin Sun bought T.Network, which leads to Tron website. Also for a decentralised addresses we have YFI/ on HNS also which we can activate.
Please see below for initial website sections.
Home page: The ecosystem /About Us / Contact
Core Products
yearn.finance
yEarn, yVault (yearn.finance)
yCRV (curve.finance)
yBorrow (yborrow.finance)
yTrade (ytrade.finance)
yLiquidate (yliquidate.finance)
yLeverage (yleverage.finance)
yPool (ypool.finance)
ySwap (yswap.exchange)
Statistics
Combine all of these. One stop show to see all the statistics, in all formats, however you want to see them. Currently its like hopping between multiple sites, quite difficult. yStats ( https://stats.finance/yearn) (https://yieldfarming.info/) (https://feel-the-yearn.vercel.app/)
Governance
Combine the three below to make it seamless.
Combine yGov Voting (https://ygov.finance/)
yGov Forum (http://gov.yearn.fi/)
yDao (https://pokemol.com/dao/0xcb46298767fb5d44c18313976c30d3eeb5071862/)
The above is still WIP, any comments and ideas, please hit us up. FF
Looks great! I started a document to map our the various yearn properties in the yearn HackMD workspace (Yearn Map) if it’s useful.
Re governance, it would be great to better integrate voting with this forum, though there are lots of things on this forum that are useful and not voting-related. And yDAO has a different mandate than governance in general, so not sure how they could be effectively combined. IMO it’s nice to have multiple groups making decisions rather than trying to lump all in to our top level governance process.
Great works giuys. Keep it up.
Awesome stuff…is there anyway to have input? Far from an industrial designer but have a degree in product design and am an active DeFi user
Did you visit the front end special interest group on discord? People are starting to work together on it.
