He is a smart investor with a heart. He obviously has a large amount of yearn and by giving it to a pool to pay the best developers he increases the value of his very holdings. The 'heart"part is he is matching donations and calling on others to join him in keeping or hiring the best developers when he could probably sell his yearn and retire.
