This kind of coordination probably would’ve been very difficult to pull off without some guidance and we are extremely fortunate that you’re helping the community achieve some stability

Maybe blue kirby’s comms role now also involves dealing with the massive number of questions from new community members on discord, telegram, and twitter. Cause if that’s the case, 7k/month may be reasonable

Bottom line – people need to be paid and paid fairly and competitively. A ton of value has already been created, and a ton more is almost certainly to be created.

This is a place to support the community and those of us who were in this from the beginning know who’s been putting in work. Vance knows what he’s doing and I would defer to him to decide on what salaries to put out there, it’s a great start of discussion.
The point is to grow and re-invest for the long haul.
Hopefully one of those people mentioned for monthly salaries is @banteg cause he’s been obviously grinding tough.
I suggest if any of the mentioned people desires more salary then they make their request and lay out what their plan of attack is and we can discuss more.
These are world class people we are working with, so we better be prepared to pay out to the people that shoulder the heavy lifting to keep this thing going.
If you didn’t hold YFI within the first week or two you have a lot of listening and learning before you question anyone getting paid.
All penny pinchers in it for a quick buck and not the community should sell their YFI and move on.

I’d support higher salaries across the board. I’d like input from the team to see what they think they should be earning. I’ll be for this in any case, but we want all of these guys full time on this and not doing other things to support themselves. PS - Don’t underestimate how much value Kirby brought to this project.

I agree. These don’t seem like the correct market rates for the roles, but without a doubt people should be paid.

Are these full time roles? Is it part time with the idea of scaling up? How are people incentivized to stay longer term, without “vesting tokens?” How are these roles aligned or disaligned with the strategy creators incentives?

Is there a way we can add YFI incentives on top of this? Maybe double the numbers listed here but denominate the addition in YFI?
I don’t want to take advantage of everyone’s generosity. They built a unicorn in a month and it’s not possible to compensate them enough for it.
I trust Vance to sort out the details and the percentages.

Also different people are driven by different incentives. Instead of forcing Andre to take the money, we could donate $15k per month to an underfunded builder or community of his choice in appreciation of what he’s built here. Helping builders clearly gives him joy.
We could make that contingent on him accepting some subsistence level allowance if we’re worried he’s not making enough to eat well and make rent.

I also don’t have a job at the moment but thanks to putting money in YFI, I made an amount equal to my entire last year’s savings in less than 2 months with just one trade. I would be happy to moderate and maintain Telegram, discord and other channels for $3.5k per month.
I like this project a lot and have been active on the governance portal since the beginning. If the position is open, I’d be happy to fill.

Kirby deserves $7K a month. I bought the whole way up after I began holding cause I figured out I guess a bit earlier than most that blue Kirby was indeed leaking Alpha. I also know I’m not the only one who was influenced into building a stronger position in YFI due to his influence. Credit is where credit due. I guarantee he’s amplified our bags by a significant factor and is easily worth the $7k/month… pay him for sure
