Like to start a discussion about how the CRV that is liquidity mined by the yvault will be distributed to the vault liquitidy providers? Any plans or ideas about this?

$CRV distribution is nearing and Yvault is probably entitled to a huge chunk of pre-CRV LP rewards right away.

Maybe we should keep a percentage of the CRV in a common treasury so we can use to further farm CRV.

What is CRV utility?
CRV is a governance token with time-weighted voting and value accrual mechanisms.

  • Governance with time-weighted voting
  • Value capture mechanism to promote certain pools
  • Locking mechanism to accrue rewards for long term liquidity providers
  • Fee burn (once enabled by governance further down the road)

Seems like that could get complicated if someone wants to claim their $CRV. People who have been participating in yCRV vault have been doing so before Curve announced they would be issuing their $CRV tokens to LPs on their platform. Yvault participants should have the ability to claim their earned portion of $CRV. It maybe simpler just to create a separate y$CRV vault.

Is there any update on this? I’d imagine many people are trying to decide whether to put their yCRV into the vault or not based on this.

I would like some clarification as well whether the yvault is able to stake for crv.

The curve guide specifically says If you are staking those tokens on Mintr, a Balancer pool, it is important to understand that you will not be earning CRV after launch as those tokens need to be staked through Curve.

Hey guys, do we have any news on what are we going to do with the yCRV tokens? I was thinking about unstaking to get more exposure to CRV but I bet that the vault is going to have some kind of strategy going on.

We need more info on this to avoid that people start unstake to take it to Curve Gauges.

The current ycrv vault strategy is to sell all crv it makes on the market thus increasing its yield. As for past crv generated before the vault started farming crv, I believe it will be distributed to holders whenever Andre can make that happen.

Look like the yfi protocol is trying to keep the precrv…

Thats not good from my point of view.
