# YSD - the Yearn Stable Dollar

What if we created YSD, the Yearn Stable Dollar. We allow Eth holders to take loans from us against their crypto (start with Eth only at first), which we could convert into yEth, taking a fee of the revenue but sharing some of it with the original ETH depositor.
I think the YSD would enable amazing types of use cases that, with Andre’s new oracle ideas, could really turn us into a DeFi behemoth.

We could even pay interest on their Eth (from yEth) in YFI, essentially liquidity mining YFI, taking advantage of our highly liquid market + desired token
