I’m not sure if you remember Hugh Karp getting hacked, but that wasn’t that long ago and even the best of us can become targets with enough on-chain data. Imagine a coordinated targeting that could lead to a massive hack of the YFI supply. Not good.
I’ve seen no solid reasoning why doxxing individuals and the packages they’ve received is the only way to be transparent enough to satisfy the community. I think it is firmly their decision just how private they want to be with these large amounts, and forcing that on them is a shitty ask.
Transparency is a good goal here, but I ask that people respect other’s right to privacy as well. There are ways we can satisfy both. This is what I’ve always liked about Yearn.
Edit: there is nothing stopping you from having an LLC or whatever for being the contracting party that is paid out to, if you want to protect your privacy
